We are located at 42 Waterloo Street South in a historic yellow-brick house. This house was built in the 1870s, and the brick detailing on the front, gingerbread and upside down spire are said to be excellent architectural examples of that time. In the early 1900s the founder of the Stratford Festival, Tom Patterson's English teacher Rose McQueen resided in the house. Rumour has it that she was the one who inspired Tom to start a drama festival!

The gardens are also notable. Plantings were planned and chosen to match period plants from the time of construction, by John Drummond of Greenbelt farms.  Exterior colours were also chosen to reflect the same, as selected by Judy Preston.
